Several members of our group have been invited to present papers at the EASST conference 2010.

While Anup Sam Ninan will present results of his research on the production of carbon credits, Ingmar Lippert prepared a paper on the construction of carbon emissions. See [1] [2].

The German National Academic Foundation routinely carries out meetings of junior scholars in the social sciences. The foundation offers competitive scholarships to approximately 0.25 percent of the German university student population.

A member of our group, Ingmar Lippert, will be presenting the latest developments of how he puts actor-network theory (ANT) into practice as part of his analysis.

The XVII. World Congress of Sociology, taking place in Sweden, July 2010, provides a platform for the international community of environmental sociologists as well.

At the annual meeting 2009 one of our group members has been invited to present his work: Anup Sam Ninan [1].

The first UK Postgraduate Science and Technology Studies (PSTS) conference will be held at the Institute for Science and Society at the University of Nottingham on the 28th and 29th July 2009. If you are engaged in research in science, technology and society and related fields, then the event will provide a key forum in which to present on-going research and build networks within the UK STS community. The conference is organised by postgraduate students and is intended for postgrads at all stages of research.

Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology and Society (IAS-STS)
GRAZ - AUSTRIA

The IAS-STS in Graz, Austria, promotes the interdisciplinary investigation of the links and interactions between science, technology and society, technology assessment, as well as research on the development and implementation of socially and environmentally sound technologies. Therefore IAS-STS hosts international fellows and research associates through its fellowship programme. Additionally the institute organizes an annually conference on “Critical Issues in Science and Technology Studies”.
